A co-op community of film makers, writers and actors getting together in a drop in centre to meet, network, socialize brainstorm and produce short films to gain experience in film making as well as marketing the shorts to broadcasters. Come on down, join the club and get placed on a short film crew and start your shorts. The Toronto Short Film Project encourages members to try as many aspects of film making as they have interest in. From producing to directing, writing and being part of the technical crew. As well as performing, the members get an all rounded experience working on many shorts which is so essential in producing independant productions. Membership is open to all interested in film making in all fields: producers, directors, cinematographers, editors, audio technicians, lighting techs, writers, actors, make up and hair people, props, continuity, set design, composers, animators, visual effects, stills photographers, Members are encouraged to work on different shorts in different capacities. The Short Film Project is not a school, but rather a "hands on" experience where you learn by actually doing, On going helping to create actual short films not only to gain film making experience, but to market as well. Members benefit from the sale of films they participate in when and if they are sold. One of our goals is to make Toronto, the capital of the world where short films are concieved, created, produced and marketed.
