House Leauge Productions House League productions is what makes us different from all other film making communiies. How it works is that once a month, members show up for the house league selection process. Each member puts their name and the capacity they want to work on this session in the appropriate hat. eg: John Smith Cinematographer. Then we random select one name at a time from each catagorie and put them together. The people then get together in groups as separate film crews. This includes the actors who don't have to audition for the role, they already have the part. The script is then written by the writers with the actors on that crew in mind. This excersize gets the momentum going forward for creating the cast and crew for each short film. The crews then procede to produce their short film. Simple, yes very, but one of the best ways to get much needed experience for all involved. A truly collaborative effort in creating cutting edge short films. Then of course The Toronto Short Film Project will market the shorts and all share in the revenues of the productions. A basic crew will consist of a , director, cinematographer, assistants for both, editor, sound operator, writer, and actors. (number of actors will vary from poject to project) This house league selection will be repeated each and every month so many people can get involved in a new production each month if they have the desire and stamina. |
