| Green Screen When you see Spiderman flying through the city, It's an optical illusion. He is actually swinging back and forth in a huge studio painted Green. They then shoot the city separatley with a plane or helicopter. Then in editing they super impose the city over the studio. The computer is told to make one colour transparent, the green. and what ever is transparent lets the other footage, (the city) come through. So it looks like Spidereman is flying through the city. Why would you use green screen technology? When it's costly or difficult to transport the entire cast and crew for a small scene. You may want your subject in front of a different place in the world. Its cheaper to get some footage and super impose it in your scene. In this workshop you will see how this process works from shooting to post and finished scene in our very own green screen wall in our studio. Find out what other applications you can use green screen tricks.
